SPAULDING MAUL LUCKY LESS ALBERT TOWN IN 'D' CUP Hat-tricks from Orville Daley and Jamali Powell helped Spaulding thrashed Albert Town by 12-goals to-nil in the continuation ISSA/Pespi/Digicel Dacosta cup Competition on Wednesday. Milton Christopher, Chris Brooks and Andre Walker each had a double to complete the rout for Spaulding, who recorded their third straight win in Zone G. In the same Zone, Holmwood rushed past Christina 3-1. Elsewhere in Zone ‘B’ action Ruseas had a comfortable 5-nil triumph against Cambridge, Merlene Ottey stopped Knockalva 2-nil, Frome recovered from a goal down to beat Green Island 3-1.
In Zone a Cornwall College whipped Anchovy 4-nil, St. James had an easy 2-nil victory against William Knibb, while Irwin and Herbert Morrison finished goal-less. In Zone L ‘A’ action Fair Prospect played out a 2-all with Port Antonio after leading 2-nil while Titchfield and Happy Grove failed to score in a nil-all affair. In Zone C the largest margin of win came from Godfrey Stewart as they complete a 6-nil whipping of Little London while a Ryan Gayle three-timer carried Grange Hill to a 5-nil victory over the hapless Maude Mcleod and Petersfield stopped Manning's 2-nil. Dinthill toppled McGrath by 2-goals-to-nil, while Bog Walk and Charlemont ended nil-all in Zone J. DeCarteret turned back Porus 3-1 and Manchester tagged Belair 2-nil in Zone F play. Ochi Rios handed Aaubuthnott Galtimore 2-nil defeat where as Marcus Garvey edged Cedric Titus 2-1 in Zone D.
